The SITS (Scaffold Inspection Training Scheme) course is intended for anyone who is responsible for carrying out statutory scaffold inspections in accordance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and Scaffolders wishing to expand their knowledge of scaffold inspection.
The delegate is required to hold one of the following cards & the CSCS Health, Safety and Environment Test or exemption:
- CISRS Basic Scaffolder for a minimum of 2 years
- CISRS Advanced Scaffolder
- CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor
- CISRS Basic Inspection for a minimum of 2 years
Copies of the card and exemption will need to be provided before a booking can be made.
Any physical impairment or literacy issues should be discussed during the booking stage to ensure we can best accommodate your needs.
Lecture notes and audio/visual presentation.
On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a CISRS certificate. The certificate will be sent directly to the delegate or their sponsor company.
Please Note: We will apply for the relevant card on successful completion of the CISRS Advanced Inspection using the delegates Heath, Safety and Environment Test or recognised exemption through the CWA system.
PLEASE NOTE: This course provides the candidate with the necessary knowledge to inspect basic structures. It is the employer’s responsibility to demonstrate that the candidate has subsequently gained the relevant practical experience.
Delegates must wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during the practical aspects of the course. Delegates will be required to provide:
- Hard Hat
- Safety Boots
- High visibility vest or overalls (optional)
CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection cards last for 5 years and card holders will be required to repeat this course as refresher training on a five yearly cycle.
PLEASE NOTE: Health, Safety and Environment tests are valid for 2 years from the pass date and therefore holding a valid CISRS card does not necessarily mean that your Health & Safety is still valid.
